A life investment in intense training has transformed one man into a chiseled
form of near perfection. The level of vitality flowing through his body is
astounding. This man, Cula, is restless for lack of a suitable adversary.
Cula's obsession drove him to form the Fighting Titans organization. But even
among its vast ranks exists no one at his level. This rich, forceful man has
therefore decided that since he cannot find a worthy opponent, he will create
one. No expense will be spared, no stone will be left unturned. Cula's devoted

together the world's greatest martial artists, to join Cula in the
organization's most presitigious tournament to date. Who among them will

Yun was born in China's Shanxi Province. Not long after he was born, a fire
engulfed his home. As the flames quickly devoured the wooden structure, Yun's
father made a desperate attempt to save his son. Though he got the boy out
safely, there was no time to go back for his wife. To make a fresh start,
father and son moved to Henan Province. The father quickly became employed as
a bodyguard of the county's chief commissioner.
Yun had always adored his father, thinking he could do anything, and envied
his skills in the martial arts. For years, Yun begged his father to train
him. Finally, when Yun reached the age of ten, his father decided the time was
right, and agreed to his son's request. It was the happiest day of Yun's life.
For two wonderful years, Yun received personal martial arts lessons from his
father. He was a devoted pupil who often surpassed his father's expectations.
But something was about to go horribly wrong.
The month before his thirteenth birthday, Yun was rushed to his father's
side. The man lay dying in a pool of blood, having suffered severe injuries
in a duel. He couldn't speak, only cough up blood, and soon he was gone. Yun
was crushed.
Several days later, a man claiming to be an associate of Yun's father came
and took Yun away, arranging for him to live at the Shaolin Monastery. From
time to time, Yun's mysterious benefactor would come to assess the boy's
fighting skill. When Yun inquired about the identity of his father's killer,
the man would only tell him to focus on perfecting the Shaolin Fist technique
and that when the time came, everything would be made clear. Though he was
confused by the man's words and plagued by thoughts of vengeance, Yun's
training at the monastery helped, over time, to quell his hatred and improve
his self-control.
By the age of seventeen Yun had become a monk. He was grateful to the man who
had brought him to the Shaolin Monastery and inspired him to become a better,
stronger person who was now at peace with his demons. But in the years to
come, those feelings would turn as convoluted as the story of his father's
death.
Eventually, the day came when Yun's benefactor finally considered him to be
at the peak of his strength and skill. And on that day, the man Yun had come
to appreciate and respect so much revealed a harsh truth to him: “I am
the one who killed your father.”
Visiting China all those years ago on a search for up-and-coming fighters,
Cula had seen great promise in Yun. However he believed his father to be an
unfit mentor to him. When the father refused Cula's offer to send his son to
the monastery, preferring to handle the instruction himself, Cula killed him
so he could orchestrate the boy's future. Now, with his mission finally complete,
Cula presented Yun with a personal invitation to the Fighting Titans tournament,
should he wish to seek his revenge.
