THE FATE OF THE HAN DYNASTY IS IN YOUR HANDS!
In the final years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, under the reign of Emperor Ling,
ten eunuchs in the imperial palace abused their power. The country was
in a dreadful state of affairs; bandits began an uprising, and the people were
in turmoil.
The emperor asked the lords of the land to crush the rebellion, but this only
resulted in a race for power. After Dong Zhuo usurped the throne only to be
quickly defeated, civil war erupted.
Finally, it was Cao Cao who took control of the emperor, commanding the
lords in his name. After years of harsh fighting, Cao Cao united the north
and prepared to conquer the south in an attempt to unite all of China.
Liu Bei, the fate of the Han Dynasty is in your hands! Will you linger in fear,
waiting for death to find you? Or will you take a stand against the evil forces
of Cao Cao? Don't hesitate; take your five tiger generals and rush to destroy
the enemy!

Generally, Zhao Yun is very highly regarded among the five generals serving
Liu Bei. This is not only because he once endured a fierce battle to save the
life of Liu Bei's baby son, but also because he was the only general who had
both strength and wisdom. In every one of the battles he took part in, his
performance was outstanding: from Liu Bei's exile, to the great battle at Chibi,
from the capturing of the Jing province to entering Sichuan, from conquering the
southern barbarians until Zhuge Liang waged the northern wars.
After Cao Cao defeated Yuan Shao and united the north, he decided to bring
with him an army of 500,000 to crush Liu Bei. At this time, Liu Bei's army was
only 3,000 strong. Knowing he could not win against Cao Cao's army, Liu Bei decided
to escape. However, Cao Cao's army caught up with him in the Changban hills.
During the battle that ensued, Liu Bei's wife and baby son were lost in all
the chaos, so Zhao Yun went off alone to find them. After great difficulty,
he saved Liu Bei's son and returned him to his father's side. Leaving the
enemy grounds, his whole body, from head to toe, was soaked in the blood of
his enemies. With the courage to ignore an army of 500,000 to retrieve but
one, coming and going through the ravages of battle as he pleased, he was
truly an extraordinary warrior and thinker. The battle in Changban was his
masterpiece.
After Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei passed away, Zhao Yun became the chief
general in Zhuge Liang's plans for waging war to the north and south. It was
therefore unfortunate for Zhuge Liang when Zhao Yun passed away from a disease
just as his attack to the north was about to begin.
The second king, Liu Tan, raised Zhao Yun's rank to Great General, and built
temples to remember him. Offerings were brought to the temple yearround.
